Maple Syrup Roasted Brussels Sprouts – This is the best Brussels sprouts recipe ever! Sweet maple syrup with crispy roasted sprouts.

Maple Syrup Roasted Brussel Sprouts in a serving bowl

Brussels Sprouts

These are easily the best Brussels sprouts that I have ever eaten.

Roasting Brussels sprouts makes them tender with a bit of crispness around the edges.  It also brings out their natural sweetness.  Adding the sweetness of maple syrup to roasted sprouts makes them out-of-this-world good!  You will love the sweet and salty flavor combination in this dish.

Always a hit every time I serve them. I previously had a dubious attitude toward Brussel sprouts, and now my family enjoys these very much.

Incredible! The only thing I did to doctor up the brussels sprouts was to add about 6-10 flakes of red pepper. The heat from the pepper balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the maple syrup. I used it as a side dish with a shrimp scampi over fettucine. Primo!

Holy moly, this recipe is AMAZING!! Made it for a dinner at a friends house and everyone loved it. Very easy and super tasty. Would highly recommend 🙂

  4. This is a fantastic recipe. I use frozen sprouts and don’t even cut them in half. So easy. I do them in the cast iron skillet, so they get a little charred on the edges. They heat over really well in the microwave (so they are perfect to bring to a party), and I’ve actually eaten them cold next day. They are SOOO good.

    1. Can I roast the Brussels ahead of time, then add the maple syrup and toast again before I’m going to serve them?

Thank you for this recipe, I have seen it before on NYT cooking, Theirs include toasted filberts, but about the same. I like yours better, because your explanations and images are more helpful, Although since I love filberts so much, I will add them

    Thank you,.

I love the recipe as is. Sometimes I add a drop of liquid smoke to the mixture. It make it taste like I added bacon

  7. sooooo delicious just be careful and know your oven well — i tried it with the heat/timing in the recipe and they got a little burnt. haha

These are really great. Like I can’t stop eating them because they were so tasty! My hubby and two preteen girls get excited about having them for dinner! For real! As hubby was taking more to put on his plate he’s saying, “I don’t even like Brussels sprouts!!” Sometimes I add a little balsamic vinegar or balsamic sweet glaze to the maple syrup, and a little sprinkle of cayenne for a spicy kick.

  9. This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it tomorrow! I might add apples to it–I bet they would complement the sprouts.

I have made this recipe countless times since I found it last year. I’ve even gotten my extended family to start making it too. My mother even serves it at her inn in Vermont. Love it!

    1. Chez Sanderosz, Just curious where in VT your Mom’s Inn is. I love in VT. I also love this recipe for brussel sprouts!

Try cutting bacon into 1″ pieces and mix in at the beginning of the recipe. Let it roast together. I use a thicker sliced bacon for this. Amazing!

This is by far the best brussel sprout recipe I have ever had. My best friend made it for Thanksgiving and I have been begging her for the recipe ever since. Now that I have it, I’m sharing it with my family! I can’t wait!
