Easy Rotisserie Buffalo Chicken Dip is the BEST Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe – made with fresh chicken, cream cheese, mozzarella, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing.

Dish of baked buffalo chicken dip with rotisserie chicken

Made with Rotisserie Chicken

Many buffalo chicken dip recipes call for canned chicken.  That makes for an easy recipe.  But, the flavor isn’t so great.  This recipe uses fresh pulled rotisserie chicken.  So, this dish is extra flavorful and juicy.

How To Make The Best Buffalo Chicken Dip

  • Remove the skin from a cooked rotisserie chicken.
  • Pull the chicken apart into bite size pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the chicken and shredded mozzarella cheese.

  • Add cream cheese that has been softened and cubed.
  • Add buffalo wing sauce (not regular hot sauce).  I typically use Franks Buffalo Wings Sauce (NO affiliation). It gives the perfect amount of spice to this recipe.

  • Add ranch dressing.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Spread the chicken mixture into an even layer in a baking dish.

  • Bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Serve hot.

What Goes Good With Buffalo Dip

  • Tortilla chips
  • Celery ribs
  • Crackers
  • Sliced and toasted baguette

Can You Make Buffalo Chicken Dip Ahead Of Time

Yes! Assemble the dip as stated in the instructions.  Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for up to three days.

When you’re ready to bake the dip, take it out of the refrigerator while the oven is pre-heating.  Remove the plastic wrap.  Bake.

The dip may require an extra 5 minutes in the oven to get the cheese completely melted.

I just made this for a pot luck. At first I was scared that it was too salty, but it turned out fine. I will definitely make again! Also, I added chopped up scallions on top and that added a great amount of flavor!

I’m from Buffalo, NY and we use bleu cheese, never ranch dressing.

This is a great recipe, but substitute the bleu cheese instead. You’ll love it!

I was making chicken soup in my instant pot. I used one of the breast for this dip. I ran it through My food processor after it was cooked. My football guys favorite! I also used blue cheese drrsdong instead of ranch. Very yummy!

What’s an option to lessen the spicy ness /kid friendly? Maybe Less buffalo and more ranch?

Made for the first time today. We enjoyed it. I think next time we will increase the wing sauce to 1 cup. Hubby wants a little more heat. Served with rustic crackers. Yummy.

This is almost exactly how I make it except I use a Mexican cheese blend instead of mozzarella, which in my opinion makes it more flavorful. Rotisserie vs normal chicken doesn’t really make a difference to me either since the chicken flavor is so overpowered by the cheese/sauce flavor.

This is such an easy recipe and there are so many combinations of types/amounts of cheese, sauce, dressing, etc. that it is very simple to customize it to how you like best.

Easy to make, quick,I heated it up in the microwave bc I didn’t want to heat up my big oven.A bit it was too salty for my tastes. We ate it with sauteed kale on soft tortillas halves.Next time I’m going to mske5 homemade ranch to control the salt level other than that GREAT flavor combination.
