This easy baked shrimp recipe is full of flavor and comes together in minutes. It’s loaded with lemon and garlic, and perfectly seasoned.

This shrimp recipe makes a great easy weeknight dinner because it takes less than twenty minutes from start to finish.

I’ve also made a double batch of this recipe to serve as an appetizer at parties and it is always a big hit.

How To Make Easy Baked Shrimp

  • Pat some large shrimp completely dry with paper towels.

  • Add olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, smoked paprika, and pepper to a bowl.
  • Whisk to combine.

  • Add the shrimp to the bowl.
  • Stir to coat the shrimp in the sauce.

  • Transfer the shrimp and sauce to a baking dish.
  • Spread the shrimp out evenly.

  • Bake until pink and opaque.

Perfectly Cooked shrimp

For the best texture, don’t overcook your shrimp. Shrimp forms the shape of a C when it’s cooked and forms the shape of an O when it’s overcooked. For safety, shrimp should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 lb. large peeled and deveined shrimp with the tails on (31-40 shrimp per pound)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, add the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  • Add the shrimp to the bowl and stir until well coated in the seasonings.
  • Pour the shrimp and oil into a 9×13” baking dish. Spread the shrimp out into an even layer.
  • Bake the shrimp for 9-13 minutes, until pink and opaque.
