This Creamy Crock Pot Pork Chops Potatoes & Onions recipe could not be easier!  And, it is so so good!

To make this recipe, layer a large slow cooker with sliced onion, chopped red potatoes, and thick cut boneless pork chops (make sure they are thick).

Mix together a packet of dry Ranch dressing seasoning, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and some pepper.

Spread the sauce over the pork chops.  Cover the crock pot and let it cook.  That’s it!

After a long day of work, isn’t it nice to have dinner already done and the house smelling heavenly?!  This meal is serious comfort food.  Serve it up with some mixed vegetables or a fresh side salad to add some crunch to your dinner.  Yum!

I’ve tried cooking on low for 8 hours and on high for 4 hours.  While it is still pretty good after cooking on high for 4 hours, the potatoes and onions have a little more crunch than I prefer.  And, the pork chops are just a tiny bit dry.  But, since they are served with a creamy sauce, they are still pretty good.

I highly recommend cooking on low for 8 hours.  The veggies are soft and the pork chops are fork tender.  Absolutely delicious!

I made this for my in laws and they now buy pork chops so I can make the recipe. I can’t believe how good the sauce is. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

  2. Oh my GOSH! This was excellent. We have tried this in a frying pan from another recipe and the pork chops got dried out, so my husband recommended the crock pot because the IP cooks so fast, sometimes we don’t get the FLAVOR. This was fantastic!!! I didn’t use onions for my company but used garlic, onion powder, TWO cans of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of chicken broth with potatoes of course. First hour on High, then remaining 5 hours on low. WOW! So tender, so delicious. OH I had a leftover package of the ranch dressing so I used that too….thank you for saving our love for Pork. My brother in law practically licked his plate clean! P.S. I don’t like mushrooms and would never eat mushroom soup but you could barely taste the soup.

Soooo good. Next time I’ll use Yukon Gold buttery potatos cut into one inch bites.. The red seemed bitter. I also used eight 1/4 inch pork chops. Like you said “on high for an hour” then about 3 hours or less on.low. because there were 8, I split the “cream of topping” between the two layers. I served toast to soak up the liquid. Also we love mushrooms so I chopped up a drained can and added it the “cream of + dry ranch” mix. Thank You soooooo much! New go to for us.

I don’t know what happened to my comment from this morning stating that I was making this today and would post again after dinner tonight, but it is gone. However, I am still going to post my review now that I have actually eaten it. First I will say that I followed the recipe ingredients to a “T” and left in crock pot for 7.5 hours. The potatoes were done perfectly – very good. Unfortunately, the pork chops themselves were very, very dry and the one can of soup did not produce nearly enough liquid – I really cannot say gravy because it was watery. All in all, not the best dinner I’ve had. I don’t think I would make it again unless I changed a couple of things up, one of them being TWO cans of soup. If I were being asked to grade this, I would have to give it a C-

    1. I had the same thing happen and I agree about the 1 can of soup not being enough. The pork chops were SO DRY. I did low heat for 7.75 hours and the chops were 3/4 inch thick, approximately. I also had the same issue with the watery liquid at the bottom – no gravy. This recipe definitely needs to be fine-tuned.

  4. Can I make more than four pork chops? Can I do six instead? Would I have to change the recipe or cooking time? I have a family of seven…

Just finished putting it in the crockpot. I think my family is going to love this. It smells great when I mixed the soup and ranch mix!

  6. I do not have a crockpot but am still loving this recipe! A few weeks ago I made pork chops with a can of chanterelle mushroom soup for the sauce – same concept but yes I like the idea of refining a soup to make sauce!

I love that this can all be made in one crock pot. It makes a home cooked, comforting meal accessible for even the busiest of families!

  8. I have never thought to put pork chops in the crockpot. What an interesting idea that looks really delicious. Thank you for sharing!
