This easy recipe for Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip only calls for 5 ingredients!

It’s a simple homemade cranberry sauce that is poured over a package of cream cheese and served with graham crackers for dipping.

The sweet and tangy cranberry sauce pairs perfectly with the creaminess of the cream cheese and the slightly sweet crunchy graham crackers.

The cranberry sauce is made by combining fresh cranberries with orange juice and sugar.  This gets cooked together until the cranberries pop open and release their juices, the juice starts to bubble, and the sauce becomes thick.

Allow the sauce to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Or, it could be made up to two days ahead of time.

When it’s time to serve this dip, I like to take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator at least ½ hour ahead of time so it’s soft and easy to dip into.

Place the cream cheese on a serving platter.  Spoon the cranberry sauce over the cream cheese.  And, serve it with graham crackers for dipping.

You could dip the graham crackers directly into the cream cheese.  Or set out serving knives to spread the cream cheese and cranberry sauce over the graham crackers.

  1. If you’re Celiac you can use gf Graham crackers or my favorite…gf Pretzel Crisps! You feel like you’re not missing out!

  2. I told my husband about the Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip and he said “He doesn’t like cranberries”. When I was done I gave him a little sample and he said “I think I changed my mine, this is really good”. So I guess I will be making this again. I will be taking this batch over to a friends house for Thanksgiving dinner for them.

  3. I will not have a lot of time on Christmas Day to make another dish. I am wondering if canned whole cranberries will work.

I love the combination of jellied cranberries with cream cheese but I’m also partial to heat — might have to add some to the cranberries. YUM!

Lisa, That was my thought, too. Make it a savory cranberry sauce, maybe a chutney? I love homemade cranberry sauce. One year I had grown some Scotch Bonnet peppers. i added some chopped up SB pepper to the cranberry sauce. Best cranberry sauce I ever made. Yes, it was hot – too hot for most people.

  7. Due to allergies, I cannot use the Orange juice. Can Pineapple juice be substituted for the Orange juice?

    thank you

    1. Hi Marcia. Yes, you can substitute the orange juice with almost any other fruit juice. Pineapple juice sounds like a great option! You could also try cranberry juice, grape juice, or apple juice. Hope you like it!

      1. Thank you so much for your prompt reply and suggestions! Will be making this soon and will comment on its success!

        hugs
