A piece of fruit paired with this dip is an easy, tasty snack.  And, it provides a mix of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates.  I try to have protein, carbohydrates, and fats every time I eat, including snacks.  This mix gives me the energy I need, and keeps me satisfied longer.  The almond butter and Greek yogurt in this dip provide protein.  The almond butter also contributes fiber, healthy monounsaturated fats, vitamins, and minerals, making it a great snack option.  In fact, one ounce of almonds contains:  protein (6 g), fiber (4 g), fats (13 g), Vitamin E (35% DV), magnesium (20% DV), and calcium (8% DV).

Chocolate Almond Butter Fruit Dip

This yogurt fruit dip that’s kicked up with the flavors of chocolate and almonds can be made in minutes.

Simply add Greek yogurt, almond butter, cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla extract to a bowl.  Whisk it all together until it’s smooth and well combined.  Then, let it cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

I think just about any fruit would be great paired with this dip.  I served mine with strawberries, bananas, apples, and clementine segments.

I make something very similar to this sometimes for apples… it’s such a treat, I usually just want to eat it with a spoon haha.

I’m tempted to whip up a batch of this right this minute-it looks so good! I’ve made chocolate almond butter before, but I’ve never mixed it up with Greek yogurt-fabulous idea!

I love that you used Greek yogurt for this. This is such a delicious dip for fresh fruits. It will surely gives out additional flavor to the fruits. Yummy!

This would be a great healthy treat for lunchboxes too. My kids get so tired of just fruit. Having something to dip it in makes all the difference.
